I just got a Garmin Satellite system for Christmas does Garmin make the chips in these? *curious* ? - garmin parts

I read how it really just run a microprocessor chip and a few factories in the United States, the manufacture of computer chips and costs millions of dollars and so on. Then I thought that Garmin and acted as their products and so on, do here in the U.S. and many parts of the process could break - Fleas also be carried out by a completely different company that I am wrong?
